     AN ACT relating to elections.
     Amend KRS 118.176 to require any action commenced in a circuit court challenging the bona fides of a candidate seeking nomination or election be filed no later than 50 days prior to the primary or general election.

     SCS - Retain original provisions except require the circuit judge to give preference to actions challenging the bona fides of a candidate over other civil actions or proceedings pending in the court; require the Court of Appeals to give preference over other civil actions or proceedings; require the Court of Appeals to render an order no later than the third Thursday before the general election.
