AN ACT relating to crimes and punishments.
Create a new section of KRS Chapter 431 to authorize certified peace officers to enforce U. S. immigration laws and prohibit police agencies from prohibiting their officers from doing so.
HB 115 - AMENDMENTS
HCS/LM - Amend to limit the bill's arrest authority to criminal immigration violations.
HFA (1, S. Lee) - Amend to limit provisions of subsection (3) of Section 1 relating to policies of law enforcement agencies to law enforcement agencies of urban-county governments.
HFA (2, S. Lee) - Amend to limit all of the bill's provisions to counties containing urban county governments.
HFA (3, S. Lee) - Replace reference to law enforcement agencies with a reference to city, county, urban-county, charter county, or consolidated local government in that part of the bill prohibiting a policy regarding the non-enforcement of federal law.
