HB 129 (BR 237) - Dw. Butler, G. Lynn, C. Miller, T. Pullin

     AN ACT relating to operator's licenses.
     Amend KRS 186.540, to grant a free corrected drivers license to an individual if the individual's street name or address was changed and the person did not physically move to a new residence.

HB 129 - AMENDMENTS


     SFA (1, J. Pendleton) - Amend KRS 186.560 to require the revocation of a person's operator license upon a conviction of possession of alcohol in violation of KRS 244.085; establish that a conviction for use of any fraudulent identification document to purchase alcohol, rather than a driver's license, result in the revocation of a person's operator's license; include the conviction for possession of alcohol in the provisions for which a conditional license may be granted if an alcohol treatment education program is successfully completed.

     CCR - Cannot agree.

     FCCR - Adopt the provisions of HB 129/GA with the following changes: add Section 2 to amend KRS 186.560 to clarify that a suspension for fraudulent use of a driver’s license or use of a fraudulent driver’s license in an attempt to purchase alcoholic beverages shall be imposed for a violation of KRS 244.085(5); specify that a suspension of the license of an individual under 18 for this offense shall be for six months for the first offense, one year for the second offense, and two years for subsequent offenses.
