AN ACT relating to personal information.
Create a new section of KRS Chapter 367 to require an agency or person or business that conducts business in the Commonwealth, and that owns or maintains computerized data that includes personal information, to disclose any breach of the security of the data to any resident of the Commonwealth whose personal information was acquired, or to any owner or licensee whose information was acquired, by an unauthorized person; create a new cause of action exempted from the State Board of Claims' jurisdiction; amend KRS 65.2001 to conform.

HFA (1, G. Lindsay) - Amend to add "expiration date" as a data element in the definition of "personal information."
HFA (2, B. Farmer) - Amend to prohibit financial institutions from disclosing personal information; establish a violation as a Class B misdemeanor.
