     AN ACT relating to child support.
     Amend KRS 403.213 to permit extension of child support through the age of 23 while the child pursues higher education; allow a parent, custodian, or child to petition the court for an extension; require a showing that the child has enrolled or been enrolled in a business school, college, school of nursing, or vocational school, the child remains dependent, is actively pursuing a course of study of at least 12 credits or credit hours, and is in good academic standing, and that there has been no more than a four-month gap in study between the child's most recent semesters in school; permit the court to take the child's needs and desires and the parents' expectations into consideration; permit the court to award support as tuition payment to the institution, to the child as a continuation or modification of a prior support order, or to a parent if the child is residing with that parent; permit the court to terminate an order if the child no longer meets the criteria for the award of support under this section.
