AN ACT relating to volunteer firefighters.
Amend KRS 337.100 to prohibit employers from terminating a volunteer firefighter who is absent from work because of injuries incurred in the line of duty; allow employers to request specified information about an injury from the appropriate fire chiefs and physicians.
HB 256 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain original language related to volunteer firefighters, and add rescue squad members, emergency medical technicians, peace officers, and members of an emergency management agency; specify that the absence shall not exceed twelve (12) months.
