      AN ACT relating to the health and welfare of children under sixteen years of age.
     	Amend KRS 189.515, regarding the operation of ATVs, to require ATV operators and passengers under the age of 16 to wear approved protective headgear at all times the vehicle is in motion. 
 
HB 334 - AMENDMENTS 
      HFA (1, S. Nunn) - Retain original provisions except add a new section amending the definition of "All-terrain vehicle" in KRS 189.010 that includes off-road motorcycles that are not registered pursuant to KRS 186.050 for use on the highway.
       HFA (2, J. Hoover) - Retain original provisions and add a new section of KRS Chapter 189 to define "truck" and prohibit a person under age 16 from riding in an open cargo area on a highway; exempt trucks in a parade or trucks with camper tops or other enclosures and trucks registered under KRS 186.050(4) on private property; require that the operator of the truck be cited; amend KRS 189.990 to add penalty.
       HFA (3, D. Floyd) - Restrict helmet requirement for children under 16 to public property
       HFA (4, J. Gooch Jr) - Retain original provisions except delete reference to public or private property.
       HFA (5, D. Floyd) - Restrict helmet requirement for children under 16 to public property.
