     AN ACT relating to early childhood development.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 200 to state legislative finding and declare intent regarding provision of necessary early childhood education intervention programs; create a new section of KRS Chapter 200 to create the "Ready, Set, Success" fund to provide up grant funds to encourage community partnerships and the development of programs to ensure children under age 6 are prepared to succeed in school and in life; require the promulgation of administrative regulations to define program and services criteria for the grant program; require the Kentucky Department of Education to hold an annual "Ready, Set, Success" summit; provide for the child research and data collection and analyses at a state university; create a new section of KRS Chapter 200 to create the Ready, Set, Success Partnership Oversight Board; amend KRS 200.703 to conform; cite as the "Ready, Set, Success Act of 2006."
