     AN ACT relating to the minimum wage.
     Amend KRS 337.275 to increase the state minimum wage to $6.00 an hour on the effective date of this Act, and to $6.50 an hour effective July 1, 2007; and increase to federal minimum wage rate if such rate exceeds the state minimum wage rate.

     HFA (1, B. Farmer) - Prohibit local governments from establishing a minimum hourly wage different from the minimum wage established in the Kentucky Revised Statutes.

     HFA (2, J. DeCesare) - Retain original provisions of the bill and create a new section of KRS Chapter 337 to exempt educational institutions from paying prevailing wages on construction projects.

     HFA (3/Title, J. DeCesare) - "Make title amendment."

     HFA (4, D. Floyd) - Delete newspaper delivery employee from minimum wage and overtime exemptions.

     HFA (5, S. Brinkman) - Delete provision that indexes Kentucky's minimum wage rate to the federal minimum wage rate.

     HFA (6, P. Marcotte) - Delete agriculture employee from minimum wage and overtime exemptions.
