HB 394 (BR 1523) - C. Meade, H. Collins

     AN ACT relating to installation of traffic control signals.
     Amend KRS 186.336, relating to traffic regulations, to require the Department of Highways to install a traffic control signal at the entrance to a school upon written request from the superintendent of the school district; provide that the school be located on a state-maintained roadway with an average daily traffic volume of 10,000 vehicles per day to be eligible for installation of a traffic control device.

Meade) - Establish that the installation of the traffic control signal is required upon receipt of a written request by the chief district engineer from a member of the General Assembly who represents the district in which the school is located; exempt traffic control signal installed pursuant to this request from the standards required by KRS 189.337.
