     AN ACT relating to death benefits for police and firefighters in cities of the second and third class.
     Amend KRS 95.570 to authorize pension boards in cities of the 3rd class to pay a death benefit to surviving spouses or families of up to $10,000; permit such cities to purchase group life insurance to assist in the payment of such benefits; amend KRS 95.865 to authorize pension boards in cities of the 2nd class to pay a death benefit to surviving spouses or families of up to $10,000 for service as prescribed; permit such cities to purchase group life insurance to assist in the payment of such benefits.
