AN ACT relating to county clerks.
Amend KRS 186.245 to require every county clerk to post in their office a permanent notice of fee increases in this Act by January 1, 2007; amend KRS 64.012 to update the fee schedule for county clerks and to establish, omit, or increase various fees for county clerks; amend various statutes relating to the recording fees of county clerks to refer to KRS 64.012 for those fee amounts; amend various statutes to transfer specified filing duties and tax bill preparation from county clerks to the Department of Revenue; create a new section of KRS Chapter 131 to allow the department to contract out its duties in the preparation of the tax bills.
