     AN ACT relating to dementia training for employees of long-term care facilities and assisted living communities.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 216B to require long-term care facilities to provide training to staff in the care of residents with dementia, including Alzheimer's disease or related disorders; establish training and continuing education requirements for all direct care staff; establish training and continuing education requirements for all administrators and nondirect care staff; require the Cabinet for Health and Family Services to approve all training and continuing education; amend KRS 194A.719 to specify the dementia training to be provided to staff and management of assisted-living communities; and repeal KRS 216B.072.
