HB 51 (BR 93) - M. Cherry, B. Montell, J. Richards, M. Weaver
AN ACT relating to drivers' licenses.
Amend KRS 159.051 to delete the requirement that a school district have an alternative education program as a condition for imposing the provision that a student shall be enrolled and passing at least four courses; prohibit a student from withdrawing from school in favor of home schooling solely for the purpose of avoiding the loss of a driver's license for being academically deficient.
HB 51 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Change references to "home schools" to "nonpublic schools"; direct that the application for a minor's drivers' license include parental consent for the receipt and release of student information.
