HB 736 (BR 2450) - A. Simpson
AN ACT relating to alcoholic beverage licenses.
Create a new section of KRS Chapter 243 to permit a nonprofit organization to obtain a retail liquor drink license if the organization meets the requirements for each license; prohibit the Office of Alcoholic Beverage Control from denying the license because of the organization's status as a nonprofit; amend KRS 243.260 to cap the charges the nonprofit pays for the special temporary wine licenses or the distilled spirits and wine special temporary licenses during any one calendar year at the fee the nonprofit would have paid if it had been issued a retail liquor drink license under KRS 243.030.

HCS - Retain original provisions; amend KRS 186.560 to revoke the driver's license of any person convicted of knowingly selling, giving, purchasing, or procuring any alcoholic or malt beverage in any form to or for a minor as set forth in KRS 530.070(1)(a); create exception for a parent or guardian of the minor or for a person directly acting as a licensee or the employee of a licensee operating under a license issued pursuant to KRS 243.020 to 243.670; make technical corrections.
