AN ACT relating to coin-operated amusement machines.
Amend KRS 528.010 to define a "bona fide coin-operated amusement machine"; exclude authorized use of bona fide coin-operated amusement machines from the definition of "gambling" and "gambling device"; amend KRS 528.100 to conform; create a new section of KRS Chapter 528, relating to gambling, to describe the authorized uses of a bona fide coin-operated amusement machine; define "single play" and "some skill"; limit prizes given by bona fide coin operated amusement machines to include free plays on the machines or merchandise or prizes not exceeding $5; exempt application of chapter to crane game machines that qualify as bona fide coin-operated amusement machines; declare that each first or second violation is a Class A misdemeanor, and each third or subsequent violation is a Class D felony also subject to a fine not to exceed $50,000; limit a business owner to 9 bona fide coin-operated amusement machines at the same business location unless otherwise authorized by local ordinance.
