AN ACT relating to the medical expenses of county jails.
Amend KRS 441.045 to prohibit counties from reimbursing health care providers for more than the cost of equivalent services to providers under the Kentucky Medical Assistance Program; provide that reimbursements for less than those provided for under the Kentucky Medical Assistance Program are not prohibited.

HB 84 - AMENDMENTS

HFA (1, B. Montell) - Clarify that the maximum payments for the cost of medical care for prisoners shall not exceed by 10% the rate paid for similar services under the Kentucky Medical Assistance Program; delete language relating to the creation of new or existing payment programs at different rates.
