     AN ACT relating to public employees.
     Amend KRS 161.155 to provide that there shall be no loss of income or benefits to a teacher or school employee for work time lost because of personal injury incurred by the teacher or employee as the result of an assault while in the performance of assigned duties for a period of one year subsequent to the assault; amend KRS 156.026, 161.157, l61.623 to conform.

SB 51 - AMENDMENTS


     SCS - Amend KRS 161.155 to provide that there shall be no loss of income or benefits to a teacher or school employee for work time lost because of personal injury incurred by the teacher or employee as the result of an assault while in the performance of assigned duties for a period of one hundred days subsequent to the assault, require physician statement that teacher or employee is physically unable to perform duties; amend KRS 156.026, 161.157, l61.623 to conform.

     SFA (1, T. Buford) - Retain original provisions of bill; amend to provide specific time period and requirements for paid leave benefits.

     HFA (1, F. Rasche) - Amend KRS 16.505, 61.510, and 78.510 to clarify that employer-sponsored temporary disability benefit payments shall be included in creditable compensation but permanent partial and permanent total disability workers' compensation benefits shall not be included as creditable compensation; make other changes to conform.
