SB 70 (BR 901) - D. Kelly

     AN ACT relating to reorganization.
     Amend KRS 12.020 and 174.020 to reorganize the Transportation Cabinet; amend KRS 174.057 and 176.506 to conform; confirm Executive Order 2005-1253.

     HCS - Make technical corrections and conforming amendments.

     HFA (1, J. Stewart III) - Rename the office of district highway engineer to the office of district highway and railroad engineer; require that the Office of Program Planning and Management work with the district highway and railroad engineer to carry out the Cabinet's statutory charge to regulate railroads.

     HFA (2, J. Vincent) - Amend KRS 174.125 to rename the Kentucky Bicycle and Bikeway Commission to the Kentucky Bicycle and Pedestrian Byways Commission, clarify the duties of the commission; allow the commission to file an amicus curiae brief in the cases before the state or federal courts.
