Direct the Cabinet for Health and Family Services to apply to participate in any pay-for-performance demonstrations to improve the quality of long-term care that are solicited by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services; encourage the cabinet to explore opportunities to participate in federal Medicaid pay-for-performance demonstrations that would provide financial incentives to nursing facilities for improvements in outcomes of care.
