HB 280 (BR 1249) - R. Damron, C. Belcher, E. Ballard, M. Denham, R. Nelson, J. Tilley
AN ACT relating to military burials.
Amend KRS 213.076 to require that at the time of a veteran's death, the involved funeral director shall distribute a fact sheet stating military burial rights to the person who has informed the funeral director of the deceased's veteran status; require the Kentucky Department of Veterans' Affairs to supply the fact sheet to funeral directors.
HB 280 - AMENDMENTS
HFA (1, T. Moore) - Insert new provisions to amend KRS 525.055 and 525.155 to modify the circumstances under which the offenses of interference with a funeral and disorderly conduct are committed, including the addition of a one-hour time buffer but retaining the current 300-foot buffer.
HFA (2/Title, T. Moore) - Make title amendment.
SCS - Retain the bill's provisions, except amend KRS 525.055 to define the crime of disorderly conduct in the first degree when a person engages in certain conduct at a funeral; amend KRS 525.155 to define the crime of interference with a funeral.
SCA (1/Title, E. Tori) - Make title amendment.
