     AN ACT relating to criminal justice.
     Amend KRS 17.151 relating to criminal history record checks to permit record checks in emergency child placement situations where there is a declared disaster or declared emergency; create a new section of KRS Chapter 17 relating to criminal record checks to permit a person to do a name-based check of his or her own record and supply that record to an employer or potential employer; amend KRS 17.167 relating to record checks for fire departments, ambulance services, and rescue squads to include all criminal records, not just felony records; create a new section of KRS Chapter 17 to permit the Governor to require a record check on potential appointees to cabinet secretary or department head positions.
