HB 33/LM (BR 12) - M. Henley

     AN ACT relating to government contracts.
     Amend KRS 45A.480 and 176.085 to require, as a condition for being awarded a state contract, that a person, contractor, or subcontractor is registered and participating in a federal work authorization program to verify employment eligibility of employees pursuant to the federal Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986; impose fine of $4,000 for violation; and provide that violation shall be grounds for cancellation of contract and disqualification for future contracts for 5 years.
