     AN ACT relating to local school board members.
     Amend KRS 160.280 to increase the maximum amount of annual expenses for which local school board members can be reimbursed for meetings to $3,000; remove distinction for counties containing a city of the first class; amend KRS 161.158 to conform.

     SCS - Retain original provisions; amend KRS 18A.225 to include a local school board member in the definition of employee as it relates to the state health insurance plan; amend KRS 161.158 to require a local school board member to adopt policies or regulations that shall provide for deductions from per diem and actual expenses payments for membership dues, health insurance purchases, scholarship funds, and contributions to a political action committee.
