AN ACT relating to reorganization.
Confirm Executive Order 2006-678, dated June 19, 2006, except for the provision abolishing the East Kentucky Corporation; change the name of the Department for Local Government to Governor's Office for Local Development (GOLD); amend KRS 147A.002 to establish the organizational structure of GOLD to consist of the Office of Financial Management and Administration, Office of Federal Grants, Office of State Grants, Office of Legal Services, and Office of Field Services, each office headed by an executive director; amend KRS 147A.003 to attach the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority to GOLD rather than the Office of the Governor; provide that office space for the authority be provided by GOLD; amend KRS 147A.200 add the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority to the members of the Gas System Restoration and Development Project Account Review Board; amend and repeal various statutes to abolish the Division of Flood Control, Kentucky Community Development Office, Kentucky Appalachian Commission, West Kentucky Corporation, Water Resource Development Commission, Appalachian Development Council, Flood Control Advisory Commission, County Officials' Compensation Board, Local Government Advisory Commission, State-Federal Council for Balanced Economic Growth, and Kentucky Urban Affairs Council; provide directions to the reviser of statutes.
