     AN ACT relating to parent-teacher conferences.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 159 to require each school-based decision making council to develop a process for conferences to be held between a parent, guardian, or custodian and the student's teachers within the first 60 days of each school year; notify parents in writing of their failure to attend a conference, give a new conference date, and notify the parent, guardian, or custodian of the penalty for failure to comply; amend KRS 159.900 to establish a penalty of $50 for the first offense and a maximum of $200 for subsequent offenses.
