     AN ACT relating to elk hunting permits.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 150 to establish a disabled hunter postseason elk quota hunt; define "elk zone" and make eligible only those who are able to qualify for a disabled hunter license; set the number of permits for the hunt at not more than 10% of the total number of permits allotted for the regular quota hunt; require hunters drawn for the disabled hunter post season elk quota hunt to comply with all hunting laws, both state and federal; require the department to attempt to ensure disability access to areas in the elk zone; allow hunters drawn for the disabled hunter postseason elk quota hunt who own land in the elk zone to elect to hunt on their own land rather than assigned areas in the elk zone.
