AN ACT relating to deferred deposit transactions.
Create a new section of Subtitle 9 of KRS Chapter 286 to establish definitions for "available resources," "expenses," and "relevant period"; require deferred deposit service business licensees to verify a customer's available resources and expenses during each relevant period; prohibit licensees from entering into a deferred deposit transaction if the licensee determines that a customer's expenses exceed a customer's available resources during any relevant period.
