     AN ACT relating to the maintenance of teacher certification.
     Amend KRS 161.095 to require the Education Professional Standards Board to extend the validity period of a certificate of a member of the Armed Forces of the United States of America by one year for each year the member is determined by the board to have been prohibited by military service or training from pursuing an advanced degree or completing professional development required to maintain certification; require the Education Professional Standards Board to promulgate administrative regulations to establish an application process and develop guidelines for the process by which education or professional development is considered to have been prohibited by military service.
