AN ACT relating to uninsured motor vehicle coverage.
Create a new section of Subtitle 20 of KRS Chapter 304 to require, notwithstanding Section 2 of this Act, all automobile liability insurance policies to provide coverage to the insured for bodily injury and property damage caused by uninsured motor vehicles at limits set forth KRS 304.39-110 at no additional cost; provide that Section 1 of the Act expires on December 31, 2020; amend KRS 304.20-020 to require all automobile liability insurance policies to provide coverage to the insured for property damage caused by uninsured motor vehicles at limits set forth in KRS 304.39-110 unless rejected by the insured; make technical corrections; EFFECTIVE January 1, 2019.
