     AN ACT relating to health education.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 158 to require inclusion of abstinence education in any human sexuality or sexually transmitted diseases curriculum.


AMENDMENTS

     SFA1( A. Kerr ) - Require inclusion in sex education of information regarding the recognition of child physical, sexual, and emotional abuse and how to report.
     SFA2( D. Harper Angel ) - Replace content listed with content based on the National Health Education Standards.
     SFA3( G. Neal ) - Make abstinence content optional.
     HCS1 - Retain original provisions but delete references to marriage.
     HFA1( M. Marzian ) - Amend to permit a parent or guardian to opt-out of abstinence instruction.
     HFA2/P( M. Marzian ) - Delete all provisions; create a new section of KRS Chapter 158 requiring the State Board of Education to promulgate administrative regulations regarding human sexuality education; require implementation of a Department of Education-approved plan during the 2019-2020 school year; set the minimum instructional requirements for grades four through12; require instruction by a certified teacher.
