AN ACT relating to compulsory school attendance.
Amend KRS 159.010, relating to compulsory school attendance, to require students to attend school until age 18, graduation, or granted a hardship exemption; amend KRS 159.020, relating to transferring from one district to another, to require students subject to compulsory school attendance to or be enrolled in the school district to which the student moves; EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 1999.
HB 113 - AMENDMENTS
HCS/FN - Retain original provisions; provide that the pupil personnel director conduct a conference with any student who is eighteen and is withdrawing from school before graduation for purposes of data collection; provide that continuous disruptive students, students who have been suspended, or who have been determined to need alternative placement, be placed in alternative education programs; and make Act effective July 1, 1999.
