AN ACT relating to structured settlements.
Create new sections of KRS Chapter 454 to define terms, to require court approval for the transfer of structured settlement payment rights, and to establish jurisdiction, and filing requirements for court approval; provide that the provisions of the Act are effective for transfers of structured settlement payment rights reached on or after the effective date of the Act.
HB 312 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Create a new section of KRS Chapter 454 to define terms; create a new section of KRS 454 to require that a person desiring to transfer a structured settlement receive information regarding the financial impact from the entity seeking to purchase the structured settlement rights and to require court approval of any transfer; create a new section of KRS Chapter 454 to require notice to all interested parties of the suit; provide that the provisions of the Act are effective for structured settlements payment rights reached on or after the effective date of the Act.
