AN ACT relating to agriculture and declaring an emergency.
Create new sections of KRS Chapter 453 to define "tobacco grower" and "warehouseman"; to specify how proximate cause in suits against those persons is determined; to provide for treble damages if suit is dismissed or defendant prevails; to create a new section of KRS Chapter 452 to specify the venue in such cases.
HB 39 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain provisions of the bill, with the following change; allow a defendant to be entitled to three times the costs of defending an action, rather than require a defendant to be entitled to three times the costs.
