     AN ACT relating to retirement.
     Amend KRS 61.592 to include selected positions of the Program for Occupational Safety and Health, Department of Workplace Standards, in the hazardous duty retirement program; amend KRS 338.041 to require the department to make appropriate employer contributions.

HB 508 - AMENDMENTS


     HCS/AA - Retain the provisions of the original bill with the following changes: Section 3 would amend KRS 338.991 to require all civil penalties and fines collected for violations of KRS Chapter 338 to be deposited in a separate trust and agency account within the Labor Cabinet called the "Hazardous Duty Retirement Fund," to be used to fund hazardous duty retirement pay for persons identified in Section 1 of the Act and with the balance of the account lapsing to the general fund at the end of each biennium.
