HB 549 (BR 214) - L. Clark
AN ACT relating to appointments to boards and commissions.
Change the appointment schedule of the following boards, commissions, and councils from summer appointments to mid-winter appointments: the State Board for Adult and Technical Education, Kentucky Arts Council, Kentucky Oral History Commission, State Advisory Committee for Educational Improvement, Kentucky Spinal Cord and Head Injury Research Board, Kentucky Athletic Commission, Kentucky Board of Barbering, Kentucky Board of Hairdressers and Cosmetologists, State Board of Examiners and Registration of Landscape Architects, Kentucky Commission on Women, and the Kentucky Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.
HB 549 - AMENDMENTS
SFA (1, T. Buford) - Amend KRS 12.015 to provide that appointments to boards and commissions not created by statute shall expire, and the boards and commissions shall cease to exist, on April 15, 2000, unless retained by action of the General Assembly; amend KRS 148.260 to conform.
SFA (2, T. Buford) - Amend KRS 12.070 to require each board, commission, or similar administrative body containing any members appointed by the Governor to report expenditures for the previous year to the Legislative Research Commission by March 31 of each year; permit reports to be issued by each cabinet to which the board, commission, or similar administrative body is attached, but require each board, commission, or similar administrative body to be listed separately.
