AN ACT relating to sales and use tax.
     Amend KRS 139.200, 139.310, 139.320, and 139.550 to reduce the rate of the sales and use tax from 6% to 4%; amend KRS 68.200, 132.200, 138.358, 139.340, 139.990, 143A.030, 154.12-223, 154.80-100, 154.80-110, 154.80-120, and 154.80-130 to conform; repeal KRS 139.095, 139.125, 139.170, 139.470, 139.480, 139.482, 139.483, 139.484, 139.486, 139.487, 139.488, 139.495, 139.496, 139.531, 139.5313, 139.532, 139.538, 139.5381, 139.5382, 139.5383, 139.5384, 139.5385, and 139.5386; provide that the provisions of the Act shall be effective for taxable periods beginning after July 31, 1998.
