HCR 113 (BR 2449) - C. Geveden
Establish a Task Force on Information Technology as a subcommittee of the Legislative Research Commission to review current and emerging information technologies that impact both the public and private sectors, review associated issues and application of the technologies, keep the General Assembly informed regarding task force findings, and make recommendations to the General Assembly for needed legislation; establish the membership; designate the two General Assembly members as co-chairs; set forth the duties and responsibilities; require a report to the LRC no later than August 1, 1999; estimate staff services to cost $30,000.
HCR 113 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain the original provisions of the resolution except delete the provision which requires a representative from Empower Kentucky to be appointed by the Governor; require that the Chief Information Officer of the Commonwealth be appointed.
HFA (1, C. Geveden) - Add to the membership of the task force the Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Commissioner of Agriculture, Auditor of Public Accounts, and the Director of the Long-Term Policy Research Center, or the designee of each. (The Secretary of State or his designee was already a member.)
