AN ACT relating to the propane industry.
     Create new sections of KRS Chapter 234 to create the Kentucky Propane Education and Research Council; permit a referendum of the propane industry on whether or not to levy an assessment on themselves to finance marketing and education of the propane industry; allow industry trade organizations to be certified by the commissioner of the Department of Housing, Buildings, and Construction to conduct an initial referendum; establish voting rights for industry members; require an independent auditing firm to conduct the referendum; establish the initial assessment and subsequent increases to that assessment; establish membership and terms of the council; establish duties of the council; stipulate purpose of the funds; allow person paying assessment to be reimbursed if dissatisfied with the result of the assessment; allow method to terminate council and assessment.
