AN ACT relating to elk restoration and protection and declaring an emergency.
Amend sections of KRS Chapter 150 relating to fish and wildlife resources to protect the elk reintroduced to eastern Kentucky; require the department to issue permits for taking elk to landowners subject to depredation by elk; allow the department to allow limited hunting of elk if the elk population can support hunting; establish penalties for illegal taking of elk; EMERGENCY.
