SB 224/FN (BR 1559) - G. Freeman
AN ACT relating to economic development.
Amend KRS 154.22-040(3) to reduce the minimum investment for a KREDA economic development project from $500,000 to $100,000.
SB 224 - AMENDMENTS
SFA (1, D. Kelly) - Amend KRS 154.22-040 to include counties with exceptional circumstances, as defined, to the criteria of qualified counties in the Rural Economic Development Assistance Program; amend KRS 154.22-050 to conform.
HCS/FN - Retain original provisions; remove criteria for designating a county with exceptional circumstances, except retain provision to include counties which exceed 200% of the state unemployment rate for a period of 12 consecutive months, instead of 6 months, to the Rural Economic Development Assistance Program; amend KRS 154.28-080 to allow a minimum investment of $100,000, instead of $500,000, for an economic development project under the Kentucky Industrial Development Act.
HFA (1, P. Worthington) - Retain provisions of SB 224/HCS; amend KRS 154.22-040 to include counties with significantly high tobacco production, as defined, to the criteria of qualified counties of the Rural Economic Development Assistance Program.
HFA (2, B. Heleringer) - Create a new section of KRS Chapter 242 to permit, for economic development and tourism purposes in a dry county with a wet city, a local option election in a precinct containing an 18 hole golf course to determine the sense of the voters on the sale of alcoholic beverages by the drink at the golf course.
CCR - Report that the Conference Committee could not agree and request the appointment of a Free Conference Committee.
FCCR (Majority Report) - Adopt SB 224/GA with House Committee Substitute.
