AN ACT relating to municipal utilities.
Amend KRS 96.530 relating to municipal utilities to require the city utility commission to fix the salary of the commission members at a rate not to exceed $2400 annually and permit this rate to be adjusted annually according to the consumer price index; and amend KRS 95.520 to give cities of the 2nd - 6th classes authority to provide telecommunications services via municipal utility systems.
SB 269 - AMENDMENTS
SFA (1, D. Boswell) - Insert language in Section 2 to permit cities to enter into interconnection agreements or to establish, erect, maintain, and operate utility plants with any electric or combination electric or gas utility, or an affiliate, as prescribed, and permit in-state disposal of an energy surplus only to an electric or combination electric and gas utility, or an affiliate, as provided.
SFA (2, D. Boswell) - Remove language in Section 1 to reassert the authority of the city to give pay raises; and insert language in Section 2 to permit cities to enter into interconnection agreements or to establish, erect, maintain, and operate utility plants with any electric or combination electric or gas utility or an affiliate as prescribed, and permit in-state disposal of an energy surplus only to an electric or combination electric and gas utility or an affiliate as provided.
