SB 277 (BR 1960) - L. Saunders

     AN ACT relating to recycling in school districts.
     Create a new section of KRS 160 to require local school districts to recycle white paper and cardboard.

SB 277 - AMENDMENTS


     HFA (1, R. Murgatroyd) - Add an exception to the requirement to recycle white paper and cardboard for those local boards of education do not have a recycling facility within the county or within a reasonable distance in an adjoining geographic area or if a recycling vendor to service the school district cannot be found without incurring a negative fiscal impact.
     HFA (2, B. Colter) - Provide that no school district shall be required to implement a recycling plan as described in this Act if it would cause a negative fiscal impact or consequences for the district or school.
