AN ACT relating to the Kentucky Birth Surveillance Registry.
Amend KRS 211.660 to direct licensed free-standing birthing centers and general acute care hospitals give access to medical records to the Kentucky Birth Surveillance Registry; require the Department of Public Health to pay for duplicating records; exempt licensed health facilities from liability by reason of having provided records to the Kentucky Birth Surveillance Registry.
SB 336 - AMENDMENTS
SCA (1, T. Buford) - Require that any costs associated with the copying of the medical records by the Kentucky Birth Surveillance Registry personnel be those costs as identified under KRS 422.317; and delete the reference to those records being patient-requested copies of those medical records.
