AN ACT relating to the licensure of interpreters for the deaf and hard of hearing.
Create new sections of KRS Chapter 309 to require licensure for interpreters for the deaf and hard of hearing, based on national certification; create the Kentucky Board of Interpreters for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and the Kentucky Board of Interpreters for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Policy Committee.
SB 37 - AMENDMENTS
SCA (1, D. Boswell) - Establish four year term for board member; allow multiple terms if non-consecutive; allow reinstatement of license within five years of termination; allow board to issue admonishment, in lieu of a hearing, for minor violations.
