AN ACT relating to consumer protection.
     Amend KRS 367.976 to subject rental purchase agreements to the Truth in Lending Act; amend KRS 367.977 to require certain disclosures from the lessor to the consumer; amend KRS 367.978 to require the disclosures to be made in a certain form; amend KRS 367.979 to prohibit certain provisions in a rental purchase agreement; amend KRS 367.981 to require that a deferral or extension of payment be in writing and signed by both parties; amend KRS 367.983 to allow a consumer to recover damages in a civil action against a lessor for each violation; amend KRS 367.985 to delete language regarding proof of lessor's liability for certain violations of Chapter 367; amend KRS 371.210 to broaden the definition of a retail installment contract.
