AN ACT relating to child care.
     Amend KRS 17.165 to add child-care centers that are certified, licensed, or receiving child-care subsidies to those prohibited from employing persons convicted of a sex crime; delete the option to employ persons convicted of sex crimes classified as a misdemeanor; amend KRS 199.8982 to add siblings and stepchildren to the excluded categories in the definition of family child-care home; prohibit certification of a family child-care home for applicants convicted of crimes unless there is exemption by the cabinet; amend KRS 199.8994 to require the cabinet to promulgate administrative regulations in order to establish health and safety standards for child-care providers that receive a child-care subsidy; authorize emergency action to deny a public subsidy for child-care services.
