     AN ACT relating to health insurance.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 18A to permit a person whose home is approved as a foster home to purchase health insurance coverage provided to state employees; permit purchase until home is no longer approved as a foster home by the Cabinet for Families and Children; direct the secretary of the Finance and Administration Cabinet and the secretary of the Cabinet for Families and Children to establish a system to enroll foster parents in their county of residence; provide that foster parents are responsible for payment of total cost of coverage in a manner and at a time as required in administrative regulations.

HB 304 - AMENDMENTS


     HCS/FN - Retain original provision and add foster parents approved by licensed child-placing agencies; clarify that coverage remains available until the home is no longer a foster home; coverage is retained until the end of the policy period when the foster home is closed during a policy period.
