AN ACT relating to highways.
     Amend KRS 189.230, relating to reduction of load and speed limits on highways, to delete provisions enacted in 1998 to permit a fiscal court to issue a permit for motor carriers to operate overweight on county roads; amend KRS 189.990, relating to penalties for violating state traffic laws, to reinstate the $500 cap for overweight fines that was deleted by House Bill 495 enacted by the 1998 General Assembly; amend KRS 189.221, relating to basic height, width, length, and weight limits for trucks, to conform; repeal KRS 189.212, relating to the authority of a fiscal court to issue special overweight permits for certain haulers.
