AN ACT relating to workers' compensation.
Amend KRS 342.680 to provide that there exists a rebuttable presumption that heart and lung disease in a firefighter is occupationally related if the firefighter has been employed by the fire department for at least 5 years prior to the date of the injury, and had a physical examination within 1 year prior to the date of the injury.

HCS/LM - Amend KRS 342.680 by creating a new subsection (2) to provide that there exists a presumption that a heart or lung disease or condition, resulting from activity as a firefighter for five or more years, is occupationally related in any claim for workers' compensation.
